Retriever Training
Your dog
does not have to be a hunting dog to enjoy the benefits of retriever
training. Lots of exercise in a small area and in a short period of time
works well for the suburban dog and their owners! Any breed can be
trained to retrieve, however your dog must have some basic desire to
pick things up after they have been thrown. This training typically
takes 3 -5 weeks and results are guaranteed. Basic obedience, off-leash
and retriever training can all be combined if requested.
Hunting "Retrievers"
Retrievers,
on average, take eight weeks of training from start to finish. During
the last training sessions, the owner will shoot over his own dog and
have the bird delivered to hand. Happy Owner — Happy Dog!

Hunt Test
Training is available for dogs that qualify. Dogs that have a good
desire and have mastered all of the basic hunting skills are brought up
to competitive levels. Beginner dogs start out with single marks and
advance to 3 and 4 marks pretest.
Steadiness, marking ability and overall control with hands and whistle
are evaluated closley by the judges. Owners are invited to run their own
dogs if they have the time. There are three basic levels of
competition: Junior, Senior and Master.
