Pointers
Pointer Training on the average takes 3 months from basic obedience to developing and holding a point. The last session will include the owner shooting over his own dog and having the bird delivered to hand.
AKC Hunt Tests, Pointers
AKC Hunt Tests are held regularly from February through October at Des Plaines Conservation area in Wilmington, IL. The field requirements stiffen as you dog moves up the ladder. The worst that that can happen is that your dog will become an even greater Hunting Dog!

Current Dog Training is home to "Candlewoods Harley Bud." Bud is a Senior AKC Hunt Test Champion, he is also a great demonstration dog as well as an outstanding hunting and house dog.
When it is time to work, Bud has always been ready to answer the call. Bud continues to be the featured retriever at Northern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Days held each September.
